The annoying part
A friend was doing worthwhile community work. I wanted to do something useful for her.
What was already there
The community, events, and existing social presence were already there. What helped was a dedicated place to tell the story and make participation easier to find.
What I built
I built a working site for the foundation, with room for its story, upcoming events, local makers, and links back to its social presence. The foundation’s own identity and visuals lead the design.
Why it’s useful
It gives the existing work a clearer web home without pretending a website created the community.
